If you are local to us, there are many advantages to using us as your Interior Designer; from utilising local trades to convenient face to face meetings, staying local has benefits for everyone.
Local Trades
Using a local interior designer means that we can recommend other local trades to bring into the project. We have worked with many different trades over the years and only use our trusted contacts who we know do great work for our clients. Another benefit is that we have a good working relationship with them already which makes the process more carefree for you!
Offering bespoke furniture and joinery means that we can tailor the design to perfectly suit your needs. Using local craftsmen often means that we can receive detailed frequent updates on how the work is going. Even visiting the factory to try out prototypes before your items have been made. Furthermore, if any alterations need to be made later on it is much easier if we have purchased the item locally to enable us to do so.
Local Suppliers
Where possible we will use British or even Surrey based suppliers. Doing so enables us to limit our global footprint, spend less time chasing deliveries and focus on the important work! As well as the environmental benefit of keeping delivery distances down and helping the local economy, being able to go and see and touch any products can be helpful in the design process. Quite often we can customise pieces through our trade account and it can be an advantage for both us and the client to be able to visit nearby showrooms to see how pieces will look before we order them.
We also have knowledge of great suppliers in the area which you may not have thought about using before and you could go on using well after the project has been completed. Additionally, we have access to trade discounts which you otherwise may not be able to take advantage of whilst shopping locally.
Face to Face meetings & Site Visits
Using a Local interior designer makes it much easier to meet regularly during the design and installation process. Although some meetings can be done virtually or over the phone, sometimes it’s really valuable to meet in person to discuss the design and any complications in the project if they arise. Equally, it’s also very beneficial that the interior designer can nip to the site regularly and be there quickly if needed. Meeting face-to-face allows us to really understand how you live and how you would like your home to work for you, it also means that you have many opportunities to ask us questions at any point during the process.
